So, what is the Blue Guide….?
The Blue Guide is the handbook that provides guidance on the implementation of EU product rules for placing CE-marked products on the EU market.
As the guide currently favours a linear economy, the European Remanufacturing Council was pleased to be invited to contribute to a review aimed at embedding new references to circular economy issues, including those affecting remanufacturers.
The Council was authorised to participate by its steering group and made a submission to the European Commission’s DG GROW after receiving a number of written and verbal contributions from members.

The European Remanufacturing Network (ERN) project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement 645984.
The project was so successful that in January 2017 it was decided to create a European Remanufacturing Council funded by business membership subscriptions.
The ERN project (and the creation of a European Remanufacturing Council) was inspired by the earlier work of the Remanufacturing Industries Council in the USA.
